The REIT (Real Estate Institute of Tasmania www.reit.com.au) stats for September have just been released. Vacancy rates increased slightly in Hobart to 3.1%, with Launceston remaining the same at 2.0%.
Average time for an agency to rent a property in Launceston was as follows
Less than one week: 27.3%
1 – 2 weeks: 54.5%
Greater than 2 weeks: 8.2%
Average time to rent a property in Hobart was as follows
Less than one week: 6%
1 – 2 weeks: 40%
Greater than 2 weeks: 54%
